THE NATIVITY is the first part of The Mysteries,
TONY HARRISON'S version of the mediaeval York,
Chester, Wakefield and Coventry Mystery plays,
performed as a twentieth century Yorkshire
community play. It tells the story of the Bible
from Creation to the Nativity, including Adam and
Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah's Ark, and the Sacrifice
of Isaac. There is singing, dancing, audience
participation... and the greatest story ever told.
Performances took place 12 - 15 December 2001.
