THE COMPANY

SHOCK TACTICS is a young people's theatre group formed in Wallington, Surrey, UK towards the end of 1996. Its core members are drawn from Wilson's School and Wallington High School for Girls, but several of the company have professional experience on screen or stage.

'Shock Tactics' is the company name we chose when, as a result of parental protests, we were obliged to take 'Tis Pity She's A Whore to a public theatre instead of presenting it in school as normal. The production ran for just two nights at Sutton's SECOMBE THEATRE back in February 1997, but was so successful that we mounted a London run at the CHELSEA CENTRE THEATRE in July/August.
